In 2017, St. Anthony Health Foundation and St. Anthony North Health Foundation launched the Nursing Scholarship Program. In its inaugural year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, seven individuals received scholarships to further their undergraduate or graduate education, totaling more than $85,000 in support.

This year, the number of scholars more than doubled, allowing the Foundation to invest in the education of 17 well-deserving nurses and aspiring nurses.

The Nursing Scholarship Program was launched in response to the national nursing shortage. This is as much about attracting, retaining and growing our nurses as it is about ensuring the best quality care stays in our communities. It’s no surprise that as nurses advance in their education, patient outcomes and satisfaction improves, but we cannot do this work alone. The scholarship program is dependent on the generosity of donors.
